Canadian Atmospheric Black Metal. I had left this to rot in my wishlist for years sadly & it was only through NepHers' collection that I remembered... :) Thank you so much NepHers! I love the gradual build-ups here & how they end in full blown ABM. Methinks it is time for a new album & I solemnly promise to be there on time for it... :) Highly recommended!!!

J'ai tellement écouté cet album! J'étais parmi les premières personne à voir son show en Abitibi et à danser toute seule en avant. L'époque ou il n'était pas beaucoup connu...

Vestige, c'est un album de post-black metal atmosphérique dans lequel rien ne tient. La rouille grignote les constructions et lorsqu'elles bougent, elles produisent des grincements insupportables et menacent à tout instant de se casser la gueule. La rouille contamine encore plus les âmes qui, prisonnières de la vie citadine, n'ont plus que l'alcool pour se libérer et les instruments eux-mêmes sont ivres : ils titubent et improvisent. Ce premier album de Basalte est de couleur noire-catacombes.
